Equipment and facilities at international standards

CDE has a location covering two floors, summarizing 1150m²;

The Medical Assistance Unit is located on the groundfloor and is provided with 32 hospital beds placed in 4 wards equipped with video camera surveillance. The Medical Assistance Unit is also provided with two medical investigation rooms (for clinical examination) and with the necessary emergency equipment, a room meant for primary handling of the biological fluids and other rooms (waiting room, wardrobes, canteen, volunteer recreation spaces, etc).

The Bionalytical Unit and the office area are located on the first floor.

The Bioanalytical Unit covers a 400m² surface, including several laboratories (synthesis, biological fluids processing, instrumental determinations) and also a space designed for refrigeration of the biological samples. Within the GLP authorized bioanalytical laboratory we determine active substances and metabolites from biological matrixes using high performance liquid chromatography with various detection capacities: UV, fluorescence, mass spectrometry. All the laboratories are fully equipped with last generation devices and equipment (centrifuges, purified water device, mixers, analytical and technical balances, drying stoves, automatically dilutors, etc);

CDE also has areas designed for the following activities: quality assurance, data management, statistic and pharmacokinetic evaluations, administration. In addition, we have an archive room with anti-fire door with controlled temperature and humidity, a lecture hall and a meeting room;

The waste materials are destroyed in a specially designed area on the groundfloor of the building;

The temperature and humidity are monitored in all the working areas;

To assure the safety of the biological samples, the freezers have centralized control of the temperature with phone alarm deployed in case the required temperature gets higher.
